Email Writing Skills: Get to the Point
Email Writing Skills: Get to the Point provides participants an opportunity to learn ways to improve their writing skills and strategies to manage their inbox. Participants will review the value of communication and the impact that writing styles can have on messages. Through a series of real-life examples, writing exercises, and peer coaching, this workshop aims to help participants utilize best practices for writing and managing their email.
OBJECTIVES:
Participants will improve the way they write email by:
- Communicating what they need from the reader.
- Saving time for themselves and the reader by writing “question-less” emails.
- Cutting down on unnecessary words.

Fundamentals of Teamwork is a workshop-based course that will help participants discover what makes a team effective and equip them with skills to optimize their contribution to their teams. Participants will practice interpersonal skills which enhance collaboration, such as active listening, perspective-taking, and giving and receiving feedback.
OBJECTIVES:
- Identify what makes a team effective.
- Increase your ability as a team member to contribute.
- Recognize different working styles and understand the impact your working style has on others.
- Increase your capacity to build working relationships with team members through interpersonal skills and techniques.

Culture and Teams
Work is a diverse, rapidly changing environment and as a result teams may develop differently, creating “micro-cultures.” Differences in approach, attitudes, norms, and expectations will arise. This workshop will help teams identify and mitigate team culture issues. Your team will explore different cultural perceptions of how the team approaches work, and develop an action plan to improve collaboration.
OBJECTIVES:
- Explore individual differences of behavior and communication on the team through a cultural lens.
- Discuss perceptions about your own team.
- Agree on ways to change behavior to improve collaboration.

To paraphrase Joe Gerstandt, ‘Consciously include, so you won’t unconsciously exclude.’ Here are 24 tips that can help make our meetings more inclusive for people with disabilities, distracting WFH situations, shaky internet connection, neurodivergent and...essentially, all of us. 🙂
